This Year, "Cannes on the Hudson" Celebrations 'Rocked the Boat' Closer to Home
New York - JUNE 13, 2019 — Media.net held their 2nd annual Cannes on the Hudson invite-only yacht event which is a New York City nod to the Cannes Lions event in France.
Attendees came from throughout the digital publishing and advertising ecosystem. There were senior leaders from companies such as DailyMail, Forbes, Critieo, Yahoo, Microsoft, Havas, and WhiteOps.
The event is part of Media.net's initiative to open the lines of communication across the industry. The cruise allows for leaders from all walks of the advertising, publishing and communications realm to mingle in a casual environment - and while enjoying stunning views of Manhattan.
The focus of the evening was to embrace Cannes' creative spirit and to leave guests with a fresh feeling of inspiration. This event is a homage to the evening cruise event, started in 1954 in Cannes France, and brought 200 industry professionals together for a trip around the Statue of Liberty.

Guests networked on every floor of the 4-story yacht; they caught up with old friends, discussed new ideas, and made introductions that could shape the future of advertising.
The ship set sail at 7:30pm and returned at 9pm. But the conversations carried on board late into the evening. All the while, guests enjoyed special performances from electric violinist, Gigi, and an illusionist, Ken Salaz.
With the 2nd year deemed a success, attendees and their colleagues are already lining up to get the invite for next year's event.
